Platinum Printing:

Platinum printing was invented in 1873 by William Willis. The process produces photographs of unrivaled beauty and permanence. An image is created by coating a light sensitive solution containing platinum onto archival paper, then exposing a negative in direct contact with the paper under strong UV light. A simple developer, clearing stage and wash complete the processing.

Platinum printing is delicate and subtle. The tone of the print can range from neutral/cool through to warm/selenium. Some reading on platinum printing.

Platinum printing is a contact method. You will need a negative as big as the desired final print. This can be achieved through digitally printed internegatives. Email me to enquire.
